Choruses throughout America.
Currently, there are 26 choruses located in:
Connecticut,
Georgia,
Illinois,
Michigan,
Minnesota,
New York,
Ohio,
Oregon,
Rhode Island,
Vermont,
and
Washington.
The objectives of the A.U.S.S. are to promote and perpetuate Swedish chorus singing and knowledge of Swedish songs, cultivate an appreciation of Swedish music, and work for unity and cooperation between Swedish choruses in the United States and Canada. Through contact with our Swedish equivalent organization (Sveriges Körförbund), we discover and incorporate the latest in Swedish choral music, and promote exchange between choruses in America and Sweden.
All choruses welcome new members. If there is no chorus in your area, why not start one? We will help you to start your chorus. If you have a Scandinavian-American chorus in the United States or Canada, we cordially invite you to join the A.U.S.S.!
